During a phase of construction at UI Hospitals and Clinics the volunteer gift shop was moving and expanding. As part of the renovation, a more elegant reception area and storefront was created. It was time to rebrand the hospital gift shop into something special.
The name was selected because Iowa’s State Flower is the Wild Rose. And there were to be two shops instead of one. Gift and Books. They wanted a cohesive style to represent the two stores.
Shopping bags in several sizes, in two color combinations, and both paper and plastic were designed in detail. The ink is actually a copper metallic which is very attractive on the plastic bags for the book store.
Signage was developed and created for the gift shop according to design specifications. A laminate substrate was used for cutout letters and the image was layered on the rose icon with cabochons added for the flower detail.
